“Never have I worked on the craft so deeply and precisely.
Gary has an amazing capacity to see what you need and pinpoint that precise thing that will make you better.
He is one of the few authentic acting teachers out there and is definitely one of a kind.
Every actor should do his 12 Week Intensive. I want to do it again.”

The great Stella Adler once said, ‘You have to have a talent for your talent.’ I fully believe that this is the case. Having talent doesn’t mean you have craft; you have to be able to use your talent. My training will enable you to do just that. My work will empower you with a clear and specific set of tools and techniques, so that you can create acting that has greater depth, range, imagination and truth.
This is the only acting intensive of its kind in London. Working 100% with text at every stage of the course, it deals with both the practical and artistic challenges facing the actor and provides you with all the answers you need to become more successful in getting the job and then doing the job as an artist and a professional.
The course is long enough to go deep and make profound changes in your work, but short enough for you not to have to take too much time out of your career. It is split into three parts and covers the following:
A complete understanding of how to work on a scene. You will learn a very practical process that converts words on the page into emotionally truthful and expressive acting. This step by step process will make clear what is essential to bring a scene to life and provide you with a set of reliable tools to make this happen on a consistent basis. You will be able to translate any scene you are given into real actable’s that you can personally commit to.
A deep understanding of how to work on and develop a role. You will work on a second more complex scene, but this time within the context of the Play that it is from. Through a detailed rehearsal process you will learn how to breakdown a script, create and embody a character. By learning how to make bold and interesting choices you will be able to bring a character to life with behaviour that is meaningful.
The fundamental elements of audition technique. You will apply tools and techniques to casting preparation and experience what it takes to be fully prepared, committed and confident for every casting. You will present pieces under an audition type environment and given feedback, direction, practical tips and strategies to improve the way you approach castings and perform in auditions, so that you increase your chances of future success.
